Global Programming Services, Inc. was formed in 1993 to provide system support for independent telephone companies running the DPI/TFS Billing System. The principals, Orv Anderson and Ken Rodgers, are former employees of Data Products International which was the original developer of DPI/TFS.

In May 1998, after a series of acquisitions, joint ventures and a final buyout by IBM, IBM announced the withdrawal of both the TFS software product and its associated maintenance service. This resulted in GPS being a licensed technical support for DPI/TFS users outside of in-house support.

In 1999, a totally new OSS that would enable telecoms to move their business systems into the future was conceived. Ken Rodgers, drawing from his extensive experience as one of the original developers of the DPI/TFS system, and Orv Anderson, drawing from his experience as a programmer/analyst since 1968 in the telecom industry, organized a team of experienced developers to provide the next generation system development. This effort resulted in the Tangible Data Options (TDO) system and is currently used by five independent telecommunication companies.

In 2008, GPS made the decision to take TDO to the next level, incorporate a financial application package, and develop a windows-based, client/server OSS application using LANSA’s Visual Application toolset. The result is Tangible Enterprise Solutions (TES), a comprehensive, integrated OSS for today’s telecommunication companies.

The GPS staff is committed to providing the highest quality software and customer service available. Our staff of skilled developers, trainers, and customer service representatives has a vast range of knowledge and experience in the telecommunications industry and IT ranging from 10 to 40 years of experience.
